The much loved Suzuki Swace was first released back in November 2020. Now with even better specification & on-board tech, along with enhanced hybrid performance, the 2023 Swace is definitely one to consider if you're looking for a good looking estate car with lots to offer.
Read on as we take a look at the latest updates and tell you everything you need to know about the Suzuki Swace.
There have been some significant enhancements to the Swace's hybrid engine sytem which have resulted in a 15% increase in power output (from 122hp to 140hp). Suzuki have however maintained running costs at the forefront of their improvements with minimal changes to fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, which now stand at 62.7mpg and 102g/km respectively (WLTP combined).
The upgraded hybrid system combines a powerful electric motor with a 1.8 litre petrol engine delivering a seamless drive with powerful acceleration and selecting the optimal driving mode depending on driving conditions - motor (EV), engine or a comination of both. When in EV driving mode, the vehicle is driven solely by its electric motor with power supplied from the battery, reducing emissions and fuel consumption.
There's no compromise when it comes to the quality of the drive. The low bonnet and location of the hybrid battery (below the rear seats) assist in giving the Swace its low stance and also aids in the reduction of body roll around corners and in improving stability. Lightweight and efficient CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission i.e. automatic) comes as standard providing a smooth and comfortable drive.

If the driver fails to react, EDSS slows the vehicle to a stop and activates the hazard warning lights.
The Pre-Collision System (PCS) helps to prevent collisions with other vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists by moitoring the road ahead with a millimetre-wave radar and monocular camera. The updated system includes a wider range detection and the addition of motorcycle detection.
Dynamic Radar Cruise control (DRCC)automatically maintains a safe distance with the vehicle ahead and brings the Swace to a stop when the preceding vehicle comes to a stop. If there is no vehicle traveling ahead, the Swace will continue to travel at a fixed speed.
Safe Exit Assist (SEA) on the Ultra model, warns occupants when it is unsafe to open a door or exit the vehicle, for example when a cyclist is approaching from the rear and the vehicle is stationary.
Road Sign Assist (RSA) monitors the road for traffic signs and displays them on the multi-information display when they are detected. The system is compatible with speed limit, no passing zone, residential area, end of zone and other European road signs.
E-Call is a built-in safety feature which is automatically activated in the event of an incident when the airbags are deployed. When eCall is activated, your vehicle's location, including the direction of travel, is transmitted whilst alerting a 999 operator.
Parking is no problem with the Swace thanks to its Rear Parking Camera and if you opt for the S-Cross Ultra, you'll also get Front and Rear Park Distance Sensors along with Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross Traffic Alert giving more visibility when maneuvering.
