This year has proved to be another outstanding year for Colin Appleyard Cars as sales of Suzuki cars continue to go from strength to strength. Not only have we sold a record 1750 new cars but we have also increased our market share of Suzuki vehicles sold in the last 12 months to over 4.5%. This comes at a time when Suzuki GB has also had a record year.
The achievement was recognised at the Suzuki Conference and Awards Dinner held at the Hard Rock Hotel in Tenerife where our Managing Director Robin Appleyard was on hand to receive the ‘Suzuki Dealer of the Year’ award. This is the seventh time in the company’s history that we have won this much-coveted award and the third time in the last seven years. Also present were Finance Director Tony Dodsworth and Peggy Appleyard who was given the honour of sitting on one of the top tables.
As part of the evening’s entertainment Ant & Dec appeared via a special video link from Australia where they were presenting ‘I’m a Celebrity - Get me out of here!’ The highly popular pair are currently Suzuki GB’s official promotional partners.
Suzuki’s UK Sales Director Dale Wyatt praised us for our performance: “Colin Appleyard Cars was, once again, Suzuki’s top performing dealership this year. They were up against some stiff competition from over 160 dealers from all over the UK so it is a great achievement. However this award is not just about volume sales. Many other factors are taken into consideration including customer satisfaction, not just at point of sale but also in aftersales service. There is no doubt the win highlights the professionalism and commitment of Colin Appleyard’s staff.”
Robin Appleyard commented: “To win this award so regularly is a fantastic achievement and reflects the dedication and hard work put in by all our staff. Looking ahead Suzuki has a number of exciting new models due out next year starting with the new Ignis which will officially launch in January. When you add in the existing range of fantastic value for money cars we are confident 2017 will be another great year.”
