2018 Race Team announced
Having secured the Dickies British Supersport Championship in 2017 with Keith Farmer, our race team aim to defend their crown with an all-star line-up in Jack Kennedy and Brad Jones!
Jack Kennedy is one of the 600cc class leading riders having competed successfully in the British and World series, gaining his first podium and race win with the Appleyard Macadam team during his first stay seven years ago.
Jack Kennedy commented to thank (Team Manager) Robin and Yamaha:
“I’m very happy to be joining Appleyard Macadam Integro for 2018, thanks to Robin and Yamaha for the opportunity. I really think we can put a strong campaign together and compete for the title.
On a personal note, it was good to be winning races in British Supersport again this season but consistency is the key to winning a championship and I feel this package can offer me that 2018. I can’t wait to get going on the new Yamaha R6 in testing in Spain in January!”
Also, eighteen year old Brad moves up to the British Supersport Championship after winning 3rd place in the Superstock 600 - giving him a 2017 season position of 3rd overall!
Good luck to both riders, and thank you to all involved including those who follow and support the team. We can't wait for the start of the new season!
The Appleyard Macadam Integro team is one of the most professional and successful British Supersport squads and Yamaha Motor UK are delighted to be supporting them again. The spotlight is likely to be on Jack from the very first round but with the latest YZF-R6 combined with the support and expertise of Robin Appleyard’s squad we are confident he can be a title contender. The new season is looking competitive and it will be great to see the R6 racing in its distinctive blue paint scheme!Jeff Turner, Yamaha Motor UK
