Jack Kennedy continued his unbeaten success as last weekend’s Dickies British Supersport Championship resulted with double race win, pole position and a new lap record. Brad Jones charted up another two impressive podiums at the ‘Dickies Round’ of the BSB series.

Our team made their intentions known from the first practice on Saturday as Kennedy headed the timesheets throughout each of the sessions by a large margin. Jack took the pole position on Sunday morning in dry conditions by over half a second. Brad took his Yamaha YZF-R6 prepared by our Motorcycles shop to second place making it another 1-2 for Team Appleyard Macadam!

With only a few hours till they rest up, the team lined up on the Oulton grid for the 12 lap Sprint race knowing they had good chances of victory. Jack was in absolute blistering form leading the race and controlling the pace from the outset – breaking the circuit lap record on lap three with a 1:37.201 circulation.
Behind Kennedy was teammate Brad Jones who was again locked in a fierce battle with rival Alastair Seeley and unfortunately lost out to the Ulsterman by just 0.081s. Meanwhile Jack Kennedy won by an impressive 3.601s!
"It’s been a perfect weekend really, perfect right from the off. We topped every session, took the pole and two races wins, what more could we want. The team did a great job and gave us the tools we needed again."

The long ‘main event’ was restarted after a problem with the start lights and was an almost exact carbon copy of Race One as Kennedy ‘cleared off at the front’ whilst Brad Jones resumed the battle with Seeley, putting in some committed moves throughout the race.
An accident and subsequent track debris required a red flag on lap eleven. It was another ‘tuning fork’ trio in the winner’s circle as Jackwas followed home by Jones and Seeley, although the latter felt he was ready for a last lap lunge.
"Although two podiums is great, I really felt like I could have taken Alastair in that final race if it had run the distance but that’s racing. The pace was good all the way through the weekend, I just want to start beating the next guy!"

In the ‘Championship chase’, Kennedy heads the standings on a perfect 100 points with Seeley on 80 and Jones at 64 points with Donington Park coming up next – (24th- 26th May)!
"It's been another cracking weekend although the win bonuses will take their toll at this rate! I’m so proud of the team and their efforts, the bike is running well and no-one is throwing it down the road. Jack was untouchable this weekend and we’ve been impressed with Brad as Oulton is a much harder track to race at than Silverstone and again he’s taken the fight to Seeley."
