Team Appleyard Macadam filled with confidence after testing in Cartagena

Team Appleyard Macadam Integro Yamaha are back home and filled with confidence after a successful four day test in Cartagena, Spain.

The team got their first chance to get to grips with the new Yamaha YZF-R6 machines and also show off the team’s new colour scheme as they move away from silver and burgundy to Yamaha Racing Blue.

Both Jack Kennedy and Brad Jones eventually arrived at the circuit in the south of Spain after lengthy delays due to last week’s weather and excitedly got their first run out on Thursday. They completed four days of testing, with a couple of small crashes the only disruption to report, as they both completed over 150 laps getting to grips with new R6 Yamaha.

The team now have a day at Donington Park on the 20th March before round one of the Dickies British Supersport Championship on Easter weekend.

Robin Appleyard, Team Manager

“The test had a few rain and strong wind disruptions, but overall we got done what we hoped we would. Without doubt the new R6 is a big improvement. Alex and the staff have done a great job with it.”

We wish the team the best of luck for the first round at Donington on 20th March!
