Subaru helps give you a safe welcome to Winter!
All Subaru vehicles are very famous for their all-wheel drive, providing excellent handling in snowy, wet conditions - but that doesn’t mean you shouldn't take other necessary precautions.
All Subaru vehicles come with 'Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive' systems that distribute power to all four wheels for better traction on snowy, slippery roads.
Some selected vehicles* also come with X-MODE with Hill Descent Control, giving you reliable control at the push of a button. X-MODE takes command of the engine, transmission, Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and brakes to help you through challenging conditions when you’re driving through slippery hills. That is the type of control you need this winter.
Our first advice would be to prepare an 'emergency box' for your car. This box should have items to help you in any emergency situations:
- Road Flares
- Warm Clothes
- A Blanket, preferably wool or another heavy warm material.
- Sand, for providing traction if you get stuck
- Extra Ice Scrapers
*Having these items and more can keep you and your family safe in the event of an emergency*
Preparing your car goes further than just including additional supplies. You should also check everything from your tires to the battery on your Subaru.
Having winter tires on your Subaru offers that extra traction and handling that is much needed in icy, wet weather. Using a winter-specific windshield wiper fluid ensures that you can keep salt and grit from blocking your view.
Subaru has unsurprisingly made a cut in the 'Top 10 Safest Cars of 2017' as well as being shorlisted for the What Car? Safety Award 2018! Double congratulations to Subaru!
