Record numbers turn out for our Goldwing Day
Over 300 motorcycle enthusiasts from all over the country gathered at our motorcycle branch in Keighley, for our annual Goldwing Day.
The event, which is widely accepted as one of the largest organised Goldwing gatherings of the year, is the perfect excuse for owners to once again dust off their bikes and take to the road for another season.
As well as being a great social get together the event is also an important day in our charitable fund raising calendar. Over £250 was raised for Macmillan Cancer Support to add to the £3350 already raised in the last 12 months.
Our Goldwing specialist Barry Walton was delighted with the turn out: “It was a great day. The weather was kind and everyone really enjoyed themselves. The hot food we served for the first time went down well and the charitable ride outs were generously supported.”
Two bike mad fans who travelled to Yorkshire especially for the day were ex-servicemen Alex Smith and Steve Furguson who were there representing ‘Bike Tours for the Wounded’. BT4TW is a not for profit operation created to enable wounded service personnel to enjoy all expenses motorcycle trips to America.
