Yamaha MT-07 wins MCN awardThe MCN Awards are widely regarded as the Blue Riband event of the British motorcycling industry, and it pleases us immensely to learn that one of our most popular machines has lifted the coveted Machine of the Year award.

Yamaha get this year's bragging rights with the news that two of their MT range picked up prizes in their respective classes, with the brand new MT-125 walking off with the best 125cc machine of the year, and the MT-07 winner in the best naked (middleweight) category. The MT-07 went one step further to be named the best motorcycle of the year.
Accepting their award, Yamaha say that "Winning any of the annual MCN awards is always an honour but to receive the top prize confirms that a new motorcycle is something rather special."

It's all a turnaround from last year's awards, which saw BMW walk off with the lion's share of the gongs. However, it has been a stellar year for the Japanese motorcycle industry, with all the major players launching impressive new lines, which made the MT-07's triumph even more pleasing for Yamaha.

The MCN award isn't the first honour for the MT-07 this year. It's also Bike magazine's bike of the year and best value bike of 2014; while Visordown called it the best newcomer's bike of 2014, cementing it as a favourite ride right across the British motorcycle press.

You too can find out just how good the MT-07 is. Call us at Colin Appleyard today, and we can arrange a viewing and a test ride.
