New Pick-up franchise for Colin Appleyard

Great Wall Motors 'Steed' Pick-up

Colin Appleyard Cars has been appointed the first official dealer for Great Wall Motors for West Yorkshire.

Although new to the UK the Chinese manufacturer has been established since 1976 and is now the oriental country’s largest producer of 4 wheel drive pick-ups.  As its first move into Britain GWM has launched the Steed pick-up which comes with a   2.0 litre diesel turbo charged engine which is complemented by a six speed transmission. The new vehicle is available to view and test drive at Colin Appleyard’s Cornmill, Keighley and Leeds showrooms.

Commenting on the new appointment, Managing Director Robin Appleyard said, “We are really excited about this new franchise. Having checked out the Steed we were very impressed by the quality and high specification and, at a starting price of £14,000 plus VAT, we are sure it will sell well.”

Initially two Steed models will be available which will be followed by further additions to the range next year.
